What to Expect for Your 2023 Alaskan Fishing Trip

We know that you are starting to get excited for the 2023 fishing season and we are too! It is right around the corner.
We expect to see great results as always with our ocean trips out of Homer and Seward. Halibut, rockfish, Kings and Silvers are the staples of our ocean trips but don’t forget to ask about cod. Alaskan cod are some of the best eating fish around and there are no limits so they are a great way to fill your freezer.
On the rivers, the sockeye run should be the best in years – as the commercial fisherman are expected to not be setting nets. Last year it went to a 9 fish limit so expect more great results this year. We will not be able to fish Kings this year again, but the sockeye and the silver runs should more than make up for it. Early sockeye fishing on the Russian River is incredible so don’t be put off by those early June dates. Also, be sure to ask about Rainbow Trout. They are often overlooked, but Kenai River rainbows are huge and provide great fishing action.
Book with us today and let our guides help you fill the freezer!
